Winter veg looking healthy in the garden at Fountains Abbey. A bit of escapism from a bit a of a rubbish fortnight. We found out that our garden is absolutely covered in the newly emerging shoots of ground elder (Aegopodium podagraria). This has been a bit of a set back and means that we might need to alter some of our plans. We’re very reluctant to spray and also have to be realistic in the fact that we don’t have as much free time to keep on top of things as we did pre-baby. We’ve got our heads together though and come up with some modified plans to help us live with this invasive weed. .
Beautiful Fountains Abbey near Ripon, Yorkshire is such a wonderful place to visit. So much to discover and learn about at this World Heritage site with some fabulous walks around the medievel deer park and grounds of Studley Royal.
